Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 September 2026

Rakda keeps what it needs to build your plan and show your training back to you, and nothing more. No advertising, no tracking, nothing sold to anyone.

What Rakda stores

All of it comes from you.

  • Your account
The name and email address you sign up with. The password is held by Firebase Authentication, and Rakda never sees it.
  • About you
Year of birth, gender, how much running you have behind you, and whether you are dealing with an injury. These are optional answers from the plan wizard, used to estimate heart-rate zones and to pitch the plan at the right level.
  • Your training
The plans you build — title, race, race date, target pace — with their weeks and sessions.
  • Your runs
Whatever you log after a session: distance, time, average pace, average and maximum heart rate, calories, and any notes you write.
  • Your language
A cookie named lang remembers whether you read Rakda in English or Arabic. It is the only cookie the app sets, and it carries nothing else.

Where it is kept

Your data lives in Google Cloud Firestore, in the nam5 multi-region — servers in the United States. The app itself runs on Firebase App Hosting, also Google Cloud. Wherever you are, your data is stored and processed in the United States.

Who can see it

You, signed in to your account. Firestore security rules tie every plan, session and logged run to the account that created it, so one account cannot read another’s.

The person who runs Rakda can reach the database through Google’s admin tools, which is what keeping the app working requires. It is not used to read your training for any other reason.

The services Rakda uses

Firebase Authentication handles sign-in and sends password reset emails, Cloud Firestore stores the data, and Firebase App Hosting serves the site. All three are Google services and are covered by Google’s own privacy terms. Page fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees your browser asking for them.

AI coach notes, when enabled

The note you see under a logged run today is written by rules inside Rakda. Nothing about your run leaves the app.

There is also an AI version of that note, and it is switched off. When it is enabled, one request per run is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API: the plan title and race, the session as it was planned, and what you logged, including any notes you wrote. Your name and email address are not sent. The note that comes back is saved with that run.

Health information

Heart rate, injury history and what you write in a run’s notes say something about your health. They are stored like the rest of your training data, shown only to you, and never sold or shared for advertising.

Rakda is a training tool, not a medical service. Nothing in it is medical advice, and no plan or note replaces a doctor.

No ads, no tracking

Rakda carries no advertising, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts beyond the fonts mentioned above. Your data is never sold, and never handed to anyone for marketing.

When something in the app breaks, a crash report is saved so it can be fixed: the error message, the page you were on, your browser and your account id. Only the person who runs Rakda can read those.

Rakda can also count page views through Google Analytics, to see which parts of the app get used. It is switched off unless a measurement key is configured, and it is never tied to your runs or your health information.

Age

Rakda is not intended for anyone under 16, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has an account here, email the address below and it will be removed.

Seeing and deleting your data

Everything Rakda holds about you is visible in the app itself. To remove it, delete your account from your account page: your profile, plans, sessions and logged runs go with it. Deletion is permanent. You can also email the address below and ask for it to be done.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as Rakda changes. The date at the top says when it last did, and the version on this page is always the current one.
